Tiefschwarz is the name of a Germany electro house group formed by two brothers, Ali Schwarz and Basti Schwarz in 1996. They performed as DJs for deep house music in the most popular clubs in Germany and Switzerland as well as in major foreign cities and got more and more popular in the house scene.

To celebrate 10 years of success as music producers and DJs, the Schwarz brothers are releasing a double CD compilation album on their own label, Souvenir Music.

The first CD will feature a mix of Ali and Basti’s musical influences, spanning their entire DJ career (anti pop consortium to Frankie Knuckles, Ewan Pearson to Marianne Faithfull). Whilst the second CD is an exclusive selection of the finest Tiefschwarz tracks, remixed by their favorite producers and friends (Radio Slave, Matias Aguayo, Shonky, Samim, Turntable Rocker, and Kiki to name but a few).

This release will be supported by the new Tiefschwarz single release in June on Souvenir Music, a special vinyl-edition remix package (including additions from Carl Craig and another Radio Slave mix) and a two-part world tour starting at the end of March.

Part one, beginning in March at D-Edge in Brasil, has high-lights including Womb in Tokyo, Bed in Miami (as part of the Winter Music Conference 2007), Weekend in Berlin, Cocoon in Frankfurt, Fabric in London, Loft in Barcelona, Space in Ibiza - as well as festivals including the Garden Festival in Ireland, Creamfields in Portugal and ending at the Renaissance festival in the UK. Part 2, will begin after the summer and carry until the end of 2007. A year long celebration

Swayzak are their old selves again! James Taylor's fatherhood sabatical is over, David "Brun" Brown managed things during his absence anyway, and now they return together with their album "Some other country."

Swayzak's new opus sounds mature and full. On the Brits' fifth album, what counts is quality, loud showy effects are superfluous. Swayzak have always loved their echo pedal, but in their tenth year of existence, their dub-techno attains a new, compositional dimension. "We're more interested in atmosphere," says Brun. "The album is darker and heavier - a reaction to all that minimal stuff that has become a type of mainstream." Indeed, the pieces on "Some other country" aren't just a trip to another country: little worlds unfold.

Can a diamond get goose pimples? Perhaps it can, if it is confronted with a deep jewel like the opener "Quiet Life." With the vocals of Berlin producer and DJ Cassy (Panorama Bar/Berghain), Swayzak stage a moving, room-filling question-and-answer game. It's similarly the case in "Smile and Receive," where her clear voice mixes with strange noises and gentle bell ringing.
